Detailed Itinerary

  • Meet and greet at Kolkata airport/railway station
  • Departure to Sundarbans (approximately 3 hours journey from the airport)
  • Obtain permits and start the first safari on a motorized boat, upon arrival
  • TWT’s Experienced guides scout and scan the mangroves for wildlife and share their local knowledge and photography expertise
  • Breakfast and lunch will be served on-board
  • As the sun sets over the mangroves, head back to the resort, check-in, freshen up and call it a day
  • Early morning wake-up call and breakfast
  • Board the boat and start the guided tour of Sundarbans
  • Spot wildlife like the Royal Bengal Tiger, Saltwater Crocodile, Indian Python, Spotted Deer, and different species of Kingfishers and birds.
  •  Meet the fishing community and interact with the locals
  • Lunch on the boat
  • Resume the boat ride and witness the stunning beauty of the mangroves

Best safari experience This being my first safari and spotting tigers in the first safari was something I did not expect and hence it was the best experience for me.
